Sample Abstract

Role for serotonin (5-HT) in the anorectic response to intracerebroventricular (ICV) lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interleukin-1 administration. C. VON MEYENBURG, B.J. HRUPKA, W. LANGHANS. Institute of Animal Sciences, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, 8092 Zurich, Switzerland.

Bacterial LPS and cytokines increase 5-HT turnover in the brain. We therefore examined whether 5-HT blockade by SC injected 8-OH-DPAT (125mg/kg BW) attenuates the anorectic effect of ICV LPS and IL-1b using a 2 x 2 factorial design....

POSTER GUIDELINES

Prepare posters for display on a foam board surface. Posters will be attached to the poster boards with pushpins. Surface area will be 4' tall and 8' wide.    For the top of your poster prepare a banner including the title, authors and institutional affiliations.
