A research technician/research specialist is needed for a laboratory focused on understanding the physiological, neural, and gut microbial factors in the development of diabetes and obesity at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
This Research Technician/Research Specialist will be responsible for performing in-vivo rodent studies and experiments, for performing cell culture work using both primary and immortalized cell lines, and performing basic molecular biology including DNA/RNA extraction, RT-PCR, western blotting, ELISAs, RIAs, and immunohistochemistry. There will also be some project management responsibilities that will include close work with the PI.
Candidates who meet certain qualifications of the Research Specialist will be considered for a Research Specialist position at a higher grade and pay.
